Antikkka

Originally from Israel, Antikkka grew up in Tel Aviv‘s eclectic music scene. Her musical background is diverse and grounded at a young age. As a child, she listened to her grandfather’s tapes of old Libyan music while helping to organise his music collections.

At the age of 14, Antikkka started playing bass guitar and being heavily influenced by the Riot Grrrl feminist movement. Her musical tastes were later expanded and shaped when hanging out in local record shops. By the age of 19, Antikkka found herself working at the only lesbian bar in Tel-Aviv called The Minerva, where her boss asked her to play as a DJ after hearing her mix tapes. This would be the start of her career into electronic dance music.
Tow years later she packed her studio and moved to Berlin chasing unknown sounds. Meeting the Mixworks crew she discover her love to the sound of Detroit and Chicago.
Now days Antikkka Dj’ing in clubs as: Watergate, Suicide Circus, Grissmulle, Ipse and her music being heard in clubs around the world
Antikkka expect her debut vinyl Release on Mixworks “Club Goers Ep” and tow more upcoming Ep’s Via 2018.
